How Warehouse Management Works with Cages

Buying cages is not enough; they must work with overall warehouse management. Consider three angles. First, by plant structure. Usable height sets how high racks and cage stacks can go; column and beam positions affect layout; floor load capacity and flatness decide whether heavy racks and high stacks are possible; fire facilities and lighting positions must be planned around. Second, by cargo characteristics. Outer dimensions set cage specs, cargo weight sets the strength rating, and whether the storage unit is a pallet, cage, or single item sets the container. Estimate total storage slots with the next two years' growth in mind, not just today's volume. These figures come from storage-system analysis, or we can advise before design. Third, balance accessibility against storage density. High density sacrifices easy access, and easy access sacrifices density. FIFO method and slot numbering must be settled at the planning stage, not after cages are placed.
